Creative wedding ideas
Do you want your guests to talk about your wedding for weeks, months, years afterwards? Then there is something that you should plan really well – the entertainment. I have put together a list with the best ideas so you can throw the best and most creative wedding party of the year.
Music
I can’t stress this enough; music is the key. If there is something you should spend your money on it’s a really great live band or DJ. A good sound system and an awesome repertoire will keep the party going all night long. Nothing makes a party so boring as a random Spotify-list, or even worse, no music at all! There are some great local musicians out there.
Games and competitions
There is plenty of games to organise during the mingle. Everything from ping-pong, cricket to lawn bowls, all games that bring people together are great!
Props for the guests
There is one thing that will bring all the guests together -everybody wants to have a good time! No matter if you get a number of sunglasses to take some fun photos with sparklers or glow sticks to dance with. So much fun and easy entertainment.
Confetti
One of my favourite moments at any wedding is when family and friends throw confetti or flower petals at the newly married couple. It is crazy, fun, colourful, full of emotion and totally joyful. It is just awesome! And this single moment often creates some of the most beautiful photos at a wedding. And that is why I’ve put together these wedding confetti ideas & tips.
Entertainment for the kids
If your party is kids friendly, then it’s a must to arrange some kid friendly activities in a separate room or corner. Place both of the parents near the kids, not on the other side of the room. This will make the whole family more relaxed. You could also rent a nanny for the occasion. Other things you can arrange is face paint, games, balloons, colouring books, soap bubbles, masquerade.
Flower Grandma
The flower girl is a classic part of the wedding ceremony, but for those of you that want to mix things up and show some love to your grandma, you can have her take the place of a younger flower girl. A flower grandma is just as unique and fantastic as the traditional flower girl!
Get Your Pets Involved
If you want to forgo the wedding party, give someone else the chance to carry the rings down the aisle, or have a truly unique ceremony, get your pets involved in the fun! Dogs are great members of the wedding party and have an adorable touch to make the day special.
